Every year, thousands of families face the harsh reality of blood cancer. This disease affects not only the patients but also their loved ones who stand by them through every challenge. For me, this cause is deeply personal. As a licensed realtor in New York, North Carolina, and Florida, I have found a meaningful way to give back by participating in the Light the Night Walk for Blood Cancer United, formerly known as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This walk is more than an event; it is a tribute to my late husband and a commitment to help others fighting this battle.

My Journey with Blood Cancer Awareness

When my husband was diagnosed with blood cancer, our lives changed overnight. Witnessing his courage and the support he received inspired me to take action. Alongside my family, I have dedicated time and resources to raise funds that provide hope and assistance to patients and their families.

I contribute a portion of my compensation from real estate closings to this cause. This way, every home I help buy or sell becomes part of a larger mission to support those affected by blood cancer. It is a small but powerful way to turn my professional success into meaningful impact.

What the Light the Night Walk Means to Me

The Light the Night Walk is an annual event that brings communities together to raise awareness and funds for blood cancer research and patient support. Participants carry illuminated lanterns to symbolize hope, courage, and remembrance.

For me, walking in this event is a way to honor my husband’s memory and stand with others who have been touched by this disease. It is a night filled with emotion, unity, and determination to make a difference.

The walk is tomorrow night, and I invite you to follow along with us. You can visit my Facebook and Instagram pages to see live updates, photos, and stories from the event. Sharing these moments helps spread awareness and encourages others to get involved.

If you feel moved to contribute, donations are always welcome. Every dollar raised goes directly to programs that support patients and fund research for better treatments. Together, we can bring hope to families facing blood cancer.

The Impact of Community Support

Blood cancer affects thousands, but community support can change lives. Funds raised through events like Light the Night help provide:

  • Access to treatment for patients who cannot afford it

  • Educational resources for families navigating the diagnosis

  • Research grants to develop new therapies

  • Emotional support programs to help patients and caregivers cope

By participating or donating, you become part of a network that offers strength and hope when it is needed most.

A Personal Commitment Beyond Real Estate

My work as a realtor connects me with many people and communities. Using this platform to support blood cancer awareness feels natural and necessary. It reminds me that success is not just about transactions but about the positive impact we create.

Honoring my late husband through this cause keeps his spirit alive and motivates me to keep pushing for change. It is a reminder that even in loss, there is purpose and hope.

Follow the Walk and Stay Connected

Tomorrow night, as we light the night with glowing lanterns, I encourage you to join us virtually. Follow my journey on Facebook and Instagram to see how we come together to fight blood cancer. Your support means the world to me and to the families who benefit from this work.

Together, we can shine a light on blood cancer and bring hope to those who need it most.

Thank you for being part of this mission.
